History of Andrew or Upholstery 101
Born into a family of creative people; he was inspired by his parents who met at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where both studied Fine Arts. His father's emphasis was sculpture, while his mother's was teaching.
His four brothers excel at various things, including sales, mask-making, carpentry, photography along with musical talent on the piano, clarinet, trombone, cello, and French horn.
After majoring in Theatre at college, he acted, sang, danced, designed and built stage sets, sewed costumes, sold program advertising.
In 1999 after three years with a local upholstery shop learning his craft, he opened Undercover Upholstery on York Road, just south of North Avenue.
In September of 2014 after fifteen years on York Road, he moved his workshop to its current location in the heart of Elmhurst City Centre.
His craft has evolved into an art where he helps you fulfill your upholstery dreams.
